The years 2016, 2019, 2020, 2023, and 2024 were the warmest years yet with 2023 being the second warmest and 2024 being the warmest. We are having global warming now. Hurricane season is longer due to it. Every year we have forest fires and smoke from Canadian forest fires are experienced in the US. Lahaina Hawaii burned to the ground and areas near to Los Angeles have burned. Even New Jersey experienced fires. Flash floods caused by drenching rains- some with feet, not inches, of rain are happening. Nearly every day our news identifies extreme weather. Carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels is responsible and with rising temperatures, permafrost is thawing and methane gas which is even more responsible for warming is being released. We need more clean renewable energy. Solar and wind can and do combat global warming but Trump is encouraging gas and oil drilling and he is ending clean energy initiatives. He is actually starting up 2 old and non-economical polluting coal burning plants. We must understand that global warming is real and is NOW! Trump does not care; he only cares about himself just as would any narcissist person. What he does will impact our children’s and grandchildren’s lives. By then Trump will have died. We need clean energy now and we must vote for those who will take care of our future,
