Trump said he was going to get rid of FEMA. His first head of FEMA said, when questioned by Congress, that he did not think FEMA should be abolished. Trump fired him the next day and replaced him with someone with no experience in dealing with disasters. Personnel at FEMA were fired and when people affected by the flooding in Texas tried to call FEMA, the majority of calls went unanswered. FEMA is an absolute necessity to protect and serve our citizens. Lives depend on it.
