Many professional and meteorologic personnel have been terminated at NOAA. This is a part of a wilder roll back of government funding of climate change research. In 1980 there were 3 one billion dollar disasters. From 2020 to 2024 there were an average of more than 23 such events. This termination of people and services makes us unsafe. Why must our Republican administration and the complicit Congress continue weaken essential positions.
