We’re Better Than This–1

We are better than this; aren’t we? You are probably thinking that we are but I am not so sure any more. I chose this topic and added a 1 because there are so many things to consider. There will be a 2 and 3 and I don’t know how much more. Let’s start with Social Security. We keep hearing that it is going to run out of money and if this happens what will retired people do if it is their only means of retirement income. Are you aware that our federal government “BORROWS” money from social security and does not repay it. This is in no simpler term than stealing money from retirees and jeopardizes their earned income. Martin L Gross, in his book: Government Racket: Washington Waste from A to Z, points out that in 1992 the government stole $50 billion dollars from social security to pay bloated bills of the federal government. By the end of 1992, Social Security has government IOU”s for $330 billion and remember this was more than 30 years ago. Social Security was not intended to be used to pay somebody else’s bills. It is money earned by retirees and it is their money but the federal government is stealing it and now it is in jeopardy of going broke. The billions of dollars stolen from Social Security needs to be paid back totally now and paid with interest. What has our current administration been doing about Social Security. Nothing to help. Musk called it a Ponzi Scheme and said without any evidence that 40% of calls were fraudulent. When a national TV channel surveyed 100,000 phone calls to Social Security 2 were found questionable. It is not a Ponzi Scheme; I and other recipients earned that money, deserved that money and want it now. The federal government needs to stop stealing money from retirees. Musk fired thousands of dedicated employees thus increasing the already lengthy wait time to talk to someone by 25%. Offices have been closed and the fired employees lives have been devastated. How are they supposed to pay for their home or apartment, pay utilities, car payment, put food on their table, clothes their children and pay for all the usual things people need. What about their retirement and health insurance. Musk laughs about the firing and has his handle on X as Harry Balz. I am sure all those suffering ex-federal employees find this humorous. Ask yourself; has Trump ever expressed sadness or concern for the suffering of those thousands of former dedicated workers now without a job. Of course not. Google Sociopath and after reading this see if any of it sounds like Trump or Musk.

Tomorrow we will look at Trumps tinfoil hat cabinet. If Mad Magazine was still in business they would have a field day with this bunch.
