The Ohio Constitution very clearly states that the state must provide a thorough and efficient funding for public schools and state tax dollars are to be used to support public schools and state tax dollars are not to be used to support non-public schools. This is very clear but Ohio’s Republican controlled legislature has currently provided more than one billion dollars for non-public schools in Ohio’s current budget. This is taking a lot of money away from public schools. The question is why are these legislators doing this which is unconstitutional. I am guessing that they have received donations for their re-election from non-public schools and voucher programs. Contact your state senator and representatives and tell them that you oppose this behavior. Then vote them out if they continue supporting this activity.
