Paramount and Netflix wants to buy Warner Bros which owns CNN. Trump’s buddy Ellison controls Paramount and promises “changes” to CNN and Trump supports Ellison which should not be a surprise since he hates CNN. If this happens CNN will not be an independently entity free to criticize Trump. We are seeing attacks on our First Amendment rights by this want to be authoritarian. Control of the first amendment is a serious threat to our liberty. Look what is happening in Minneapolis with Trump’s private army attacking protestors and actually killing them with impunity. Supporting Paramount’s bid is Kushner and money from Autocratic regimes in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates. This does not bode well for freedom of the press.
