Husted or Brown

M father was a combat infantryman in the 99th Infantry division and fought at the Battle of the Bulge in WW II. I contacted Senator Brown’s office and asked him to try to get the medals and awards that my father earned. Senator Brown’s office immediately replied and soon i received my father’s medals–purple heart and bronze star and other recognitions. My wife and I are retired teachers but prior to teaching I worked in factories and construction and paid into social security. Since i earned retirement benefits from State Teachers Retirement System, Social Security refused to pay me the retirement that I earned. I earned that: I paid into social security and deserved it. Senator Brown went to bat for me and other teachers and I now my Social Security money. Now lets look at Jon Husted and what he has done and not done. I contacted his office three times and got no reply. My most recent contact asked him to try to determine which of the 3 regiments in the 99th that my father was in. I got no reply to any of my 3 emails. I guess I am not a wealthy contributor to him. He did vote for Trump’s Big “bad” bill which kicked millions of Americans (and Ohioans) off Medicaid and took SNAP benefits (food stamps) away from millions of our most needy citizens. Yes that is right–taking food from disabled, poor and children just to give tax benefits to the richest of the rich. In Molly Ivins words: “the rich don’t need help; they are doing just fine” How despicable can someone get! Our other Senator from Ohio responded to me one time with a generic reply thanking me for contacting him–not a reply to my concern. It should be a nobrainer: Vote for Brown who cares about Ohioans and the average citizen or Husted who cannot bother to reply to me a retired Ohioan but who voted to harm the most vulnerable people just to give money to the richest people and corporations. Even if you are a Republican, it should be obvious who deserves our vote. Vote for Sherrod Brown.
