Pottery Barn was a referral made by Colin Powell and Barack Obama when referring to what happens when you overthrow a dictator and his government. You break it; you bought it (not really a quote from the real Pottery Barn). Libya and Iraq are examples of this. Libya is still a mess and we were in Iraq and Afghanistan for years with many deaths and maiming of our soldiers and our allies. We are finally out of these two countries after a lot of our troops there and many years of our involvement. Trump had our military planning for months to capture Maduro and his wife with no plan to put our troops in Venezuela to run the country. Trump said he would run the country and Rubio is expected to participate in this. Looking at Rubio and listening to him talking about Venezuela one can see he is a liar and not a good liar. Maduro is removed but his vice president is now running the country and all of Maduro’s administration security forces and military are still there and running the country. Maduro lost the election but refused to give up control (Trump should have taken a lesson from him about stealing an election). Make no mistake he was a dictator and his followers still are keeping all the political prisoners in prison. What has changed? Trump has said we are taking over the oil industry and he will bring in our oil companies to take over, extract oil, and sell it; and then give Venezuela some money. We are still stopping and taking over oil carrying tankers in international waters. This is an act of piracy. Make no mistake; this is not about selling drugs. If it was why did he pardon the president of Honduras who said he wanted to put so much cocaine in the U.S. that there was enough to shove coke up every Americans’ nose, yet Trump pardoned him. So, Venezuela was not about drugs but about oil. The president of Honduras was way more involved in the drug trade than Maduro. Finally, Trump did not order that the person who won the presidential election to be installed as president. This candidate won in a landslide but Trump said he did not think that the people of Venezuela would support her–even though the opposition overwhelmingly won ther election. This is an obvious lie. Instead Trump allows Maduro’s buddy and vice president to rule and that vice president (not legitimately elected) is now president. and she is coming to the White House to meet with Trump. That’s right the new communist dictator of Venezuela has been invited to the White House by Trump. How much longer do we have to tolerate this conduct. Has our Congress and Supreme Court have no shame? How can they look themselves in the mirror? Remember, they must run for re-election. Voter them out! Every one of them!
