DOGE has decided to fire 7,000 people of the 57,000 employees that serve 679 million people. This agency is grossly under staffed and wait time is excessive ( I can speak to this myself). There is a backlog of 1.2 million people waiting for applications for disability–this translates for more than 300 days wait time. Musk calls it a Ponzi scheme. In reality it boasts an 85-year unbroken record of paying accurately what people are owed. In Trump’s Big Bad Bill, he is reducing money to Social Security so that at the current stealing of our money Social Security will be Broke in 2033. What to do? Demand that your Washington legislators immediately pay back all of the more than 300 billion dollars that it stole from Social Security. Demand that they never “borrow” (a polite way of saying stealing) from Social Security ever again and pay it back with interest. $300 billion is too much you say! Bull! Trump wants another $200 billion for his unnecessary war. In November vote out the Trumplicans.
