My father was a combat infantryman in World War II. When Sherrod Brown was a senator, I contacted his office and they immediately responded. I asked them to get the medals and commendations that he was entitled to have. They got his bronze star, purple heart, expert rifleman badge and commendations and sent them to me and then they contacted me to see if there was anything else they could do. I am a retired teacher and prior to teaching I worked several jobs and contributed to Social Security but when I retired Social Security refused to pay me the money that I earned and was entitled to. Senator Browni got the money leachers were entitled to and now due to his work, I get my social security money. Now we have 2 Republican Senators. I have contacted them more than once and Husted has failed to respond and Moreno sent a generic thanks for contacted me. My recent email to then was about Social Security. By the mid-1970’s the federal government has “borrowed” more than 300 billion dollars from Social Security without asking us if they could borrow money and then failed to replace it. This is not borrowing; it is stealing. I urged them to stop this stealing and to replace our money–no reply. I guess if I was a wealthy donor I would hear from them, but since I am just a regular Ohioan, that pays their salary they can’t take time to respond. What have they done? They voted for Trumps “Big Bad Bill” which kicked off millions of our most needy citizens from Medicaid and millions more from Food Stamps so Trump could give tax breaks for the very rich. Is this what we sent them to Washington to do? I am fed up with Trump and his spineless Republicans in Congress. It is obvious who cares about Ohioans and it is not Husted. Vote for Brown and vote Husted out and when Moreno is up for re-election remember that he is not interested in the average Ohioan and vote him out.
